この海の東の果てには、ニライカナイがあるという。

沖縄県内１１市の中で唯一、警察機関が存在しないその市には、大与座（オオクミザ）と呼ばれる自警団がその役目を担っている。

その大与座は、表向きは自警団だが、実は過去に滅んだはずの琉球王国の末裔による組織なのだった。

マジムンという、この地方に伝わる魔物を退治するには、琉球民族である神人（カミンチュ）の力が必要になる。

龍力（セヂ）と呼ばれるその力なくして、マジムンを滅することはできず、だからこそ琉球王国は日本国から特別に再興を許されていた。

大与座のトップに立つ、第三王朝三代目の琉球国王である月代一渡（つきしろいちと）は、平時ではキジムナーという名の海カフェを経営し、時にはキッチンカーでの営業も行っていた。

そんなある日、一渡は成り行きで、海咲（みさき）と名乗る家出少女を保護することになる。

神の国や、死者の国とも称されるニライカナイに向かうために、海咲はこの東方市を訪れたとのこと。

伝説でしかないニライカナイは、琉球国王である一渡であっても、その存在には否定的だった。

しかし、一渡は。

海咲との出会いをキッカケにして。

ニライカナイの真偽から始まった、琉球王国の存亡に関わる大事件に巻き込まれることになる。
