舞台は海と山に囲まれた都市・冬木市。

何の変哲もないこの街に、少しずつ侵食する闇があった。

手にした者の願いを叶えるという聖杯。

その聖杯を実現させる為、一つの儀式が行われようとしていた。

聖杯に選ばれた七人の魔術師（マスター）に、聖杯が選んだ七騎の使い魔（サーヴァント）を与える。

騎士 "セイバー"

槍兵 "ランサー"

弓兵 "アーチャー"

騎兵 "ライダー"

魔術師 "キャスター"

暗殺者 "アサシン"

狂戦士 "バーサーカー"

マスターはこの七つの役割（クラス）を被った使い魔一人と契約し、自らが聖杯に相応しい事を証明しなければならない。

つまり。

マスターとなった者は他のマスターを消去して、自身こそ最強だと示さなければならないのだ。杯を求める行いは、その全てが“聖杯戦争”と呼ばれる。

この地に起きる儀式は、その名に恥じない“殺し合い”といえるだろう。

幼い頃火災によって両親を失い、孤児になった主人公は魔術師を名乗る人物に引き取られる。

養父の反対をおしきって魔術を習う主人公だが、まったく才能がなく何年とかけて身についた魔術は一つだけだった。

その養父も今は亡く、主人公は半人前の魔術師として成長する。

そうして現在。

ふとしたきっかけからマスター同士の戦いに巻き込まれた主人公は、偶発的に七人のサーヴァントの一人、セイバーと契約する事になる。

望まぬままマスターの一人になった主人公は、聖杯を巡る戦いに身を投じる事になるのだが────

Mortally wounded in the chaos, Shirou is saved by the enigmatic Tohsaka Rin and her Servant Archer. In a desperate attempt to protect himself, Shirou accidentally summons his own Servant, Saber—a noble and beautiful knight with a mysterious past.

As Shirou and Saber navigate the dangerous Holy Grail War, they form alliances and face numerous adversaries, each with their own ambitions and secrets. The bond between Master and Servant deepens as they confront perilous challenges and uncover hidden truths.
